Driving my co-workers crazy June 24, 2010 VM (Bayside, NY) I bought a couple of these to try it out,but thinking they wouldn't work as well as advertised. Well, they work, and they are great. I had one co-worker tear apart his office (I helped him out) and reach a point that he started to scream out "I hear you @**hole..." every 5 minutes or so (i also told a couple people nearby to say that they didn't hear a thing if he asked). Now we have on in the men's room, and one in a conference room making people jump and question their sanity.
A tool that allows endless pranks. January 31, 2010 God (Florida) This is an amazingly hilarious toy, that creates a lot of fun opportunities for pranks. The control scheme can be a tad confusing at first, because it has only one, unlabeled button. This however, can come in very handy when someone who finds it is trying to figure out what it is, and turn it on.
The time between each sound appears to be slightly random, ranging for 4 to 6 minutes. This is handy because when you are pranking someone, they will hear the noise, and try to find it. Finding this, when it's well hidden, is close to impossible.
The projection of the sound is very nice as well. Somehow, the EvilTron makes each sound effect appear to be coming from a direction away from where it actually is. The victim can usually tell what room it's in, but will end up checking random spots all over the place until you show them the prank.
Do not pretend that you have noticed a strange noise! The person(s) you are pranking MUST notice it themselves. This is essential, or it will become a boy who cried wolf scenario, where people will no longer believe you when you actually DO discover a strange noise in your office or house.
All in all, this is a pretty great product for the price. It will provide you with lots of laughs.
Fun to Annoy People! January 20, 2010 Julia L 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I like screwing with people, so this was a blast. It really drives people crazy. I wish it had slightly more realistic sounds, some of them definitely sound like recordings.
FUN!! January 15, 2010 Avid Reader (Bay area, CA) This little device makes a variety of different noises that can be selected and set to repeat at intervals. It is funny to watch others hear the sounds and then look around for the source. It has a magnet so can easily be hidden in a variety of places. It is not real loud, so has to be close by or no one will hear it.
Freaked my Husband Out! December 21, 2009 Christine Lee (Southern California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Awesome little device!
I hid this in my husband's vehicle. After driving around for two days with it going off, he thought it was an electrical short in the dashboard, and was ready to take it in to the dealer to have it looked at. Fortunately, he found the Eviltron before getting it serviced!
I was in the vehicle when he discovered it, and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. It was one of the best jokes I've ever played on him. He thought it was a pretty good joke as well!
He's now thinking of other people to use this little gadget on. Heh heh heh. :)
